Take Ownership of Your Learning Elements

If you use an assistant to copy courses into your new course shells each semester, you may have noticed that these course elements have the assistant's name beside them! Changing these back to your name ... "taking ownership" ... is a quick process and helps the course content reflect your "ownership" and involvement in the course.

Take ownership of itslearning elements in your course:

  1. Select the course that you want to take ownership of.
  2. Click the main course folder (name of the class) in the folder navigation on the left side.
  3. Check all the elements you wish to take ownership of.
  4. Under the "Operation" drop down menu (at the bottom) select "Take ownership."
  5. Click "Ok" on the confirmation pop-up window and itslearning will confirm that your items are now under your ownership.
