To access an assignment page (assuming your course has one created), log in to It's Learning and find the course. Click on the unit folder and find an assignment and open it. You will notice an assignment description in the info, and then in blue a Submit Answer button. If you are ready to submit your assignment, click on that button.
The Submit Answer page looks similar to the Assignment page, but you will notice two white boxes. The first one is a file upload box - this is where you can upload your assignment right into It's Learning. This is a great way to ensure your assignment is handed in on time and it also helps the professor stay organized! The second box is a text box, some assignments (shorter essays) might work better to be copied into the text box and submitted, but read the assignment description before doing that (in case the professor wants it uploaded). The text box is also a great way to send a message to the professor.
When you have your assignment uploaded or pasted in the text box, click the submit button at the bottom. This will submit your assignment and take you back to the assignment page. It will put a time stamp on your assignment and tell you if it has been corrected. Check back after your assignment is graded and you will be able to read comments (if your professor writes any) and check your assignment grade right there on the assignment page.
