Insert Files on a Discussion Board

Do you need to insert a file into your itslearning discussion board? Learn how to insert a Word document (or any file you want to upload) to your discussion board post.





Faculty Note... 
You can add links to any file in any itslearning text box. Since most instructors use this for discussion boards, we are using that as our example, but the instructions can be customized to fit many uses.
Example: You want students to post their paper or presentation for their classmates to view and critique using the discussion board tool. After you have added your discussion board with your requirements and instructions, you can paste and customize the following student instructions.

Student Instructions
Insert a link to your paper in the body of your discussion post...

1. Click the "Insert" button in the text box tool bar.
2. Choose "Link to file (My web files)" from the drop-down menu. 
3. In the popup window click "+ Upload file."
4. Click the "Choose file" button and navigate to the file you wish to upload. 
5. After uploading the file, click the File Title link to add it to your post.
